Lacq, 3rd April 2020. In order to protect its employees and to respect the measures taken by the French Government to contain the COVID-19 epidemic, Toray Carbon Fibers Europe’s management took the decision to stop production on March 17^th.

To prepare for the resumption of production on a partial and progressive basis, Toray Carbon Fibers Europe’s management has put into place additional health and safety measures and reorganised work methods to ensure optimal conditions for all employees. These measures were approved by the unions, labour standards inspector and medical service at an extraordinary meeting of the Health and Safety Committee.

As a result, Toray Carbon Fibers Europe’s management has decided to restart certain production activities from the 6th April. Clear guidelines and measures have been put in place to ensure that government directives concerning social distancing rules and protective hygiene are strictly followed. The resumption of our production activities means that we will be able to continue to fulfil orders placed by our European customers.

Our health and safety measures will be continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure full compliance with any additional regulations that may be imposed by the French authorities as the COVID-19 epidemic evolves. Toray Carbon Fibers Europe’s primary concern remains the protection of its employees and business partners.
